Benefits of Membership

  • Regular copies of ASHM publications including Journal Club, ASHM News, and the ASHM directory of HIV, hepatitis and related services
  • Discounted registration fees for ASHM events in HIV and hepatitis medicine, such as the Society's annual conference, training courses and seminars
  • Special discounts for subscriptions to the Journal of HIV Medicine
  • Timely ASHM Email Alerts in your selected areas of interest
    • Members will soon be able to update their interests on-line but, for now, a member's areas of interest are collected and updated in three ways:
      1. through the ASHM Membership form
      2. by contacting the ASHM office at any time
      3. as part of membership renewal
  • Free online access to Medline and the journal AIDS through our OVID gateway
  • Participation in the development of public health policy via the Standing Committees and to stand for election to the Board
  • Networking, professional and information sharing opportunities
  • Voting at the Annual General Meeting

Member Categories

All categories of membership are for one calendar year.

  • Ordinary Membership $110
    Ordinary members have full membership rights, including the right to vote at meetings and in elections and to hold office.
  • Associate Membership $110 Associate members do not have the right to vote at meetings or in elections or to hold any office.
    • A reduced price Associate Membership is available for students, registrars and retired members $66
  • Sustaining Membership $110
    A sustaining member does not have the right to vote at meetings or in elections or to hold any office. Sustaining membership can be transferred between individuals or held by a position.

Membership renewal

Current members who have received their renewal forms can make an online payment through the ASHM's secure Online Payment page.
