Course Overview

This free training aims to provide participants with the knowledge and confidence to pursue the management of HCV in their primary care setting.  

Join us in working towards the elimination of hepatitis C in Australia by 2030. Enhance your expertise in primary care through a free 1.5-hour interactive session facilitated by Dr. Robert Page from The Langton Centre.

Elevate your skills with a free 1.5-hour interactive workshop led by Dr. Robert Page from The Langton Centre. Gain insights into the effective management of HCV in primary care, covering case finding, testing, patient assessment, and treatment.  

 

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:  

  • Identify priority populations for HCV screening    
  • Order and interpret tests appropriately to diagnose chronic HCV infection     
  • Describe the recommended pre-treatment assessment    
  • Demonstrate understanding of antiviral therapy for the treatment of HCV    
  • Communicate confidently with patients about HCV     

 

General practitioners, nurse practitioners, nurses, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers or Practitioners in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health settings, and other primary care-based practitioners in Australia.    

 

This activity has been approved by RACGP for the following hours and types:
