This is your chance to nominate an outstanding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health worker within the BBV & STI sector for the 2021 Levinia Crooks Emerging Leaders Award.

Continuing to build strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers is a living example of our Reconciliation Action Plan becoming embedded across our organisation. To further celebrate the launch of our RAP in 2021, we would like to further recognise and honour our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers via this year’s Levinia Crooks Emerging Leaders Award.

For over 30 years Levinia took an active role in recognising especially emerging leaders within the BBV/STI and viral hepatitis field, and had personally mentored many talented individuals, researchers and practitioners. Two awards are given annually as a way of honouring her legacy and recognising her significant contribution to our sector.

We would like to invite you to formally nominate an emerging star (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health worker) within the BBV and STI sector and help celebrate their achievements at the joint Australasian Sexual Health and HIV&AIDS Conferences 2021.

For more information on the award criteria, adjudication and to submit your nomination, please visit the official nomination form.

Nominations open today and close on the 5 August 2021.

The winner will be notified by 16 August 2021.
