ASHM highlights its industry multi award-winning* ASHM Conference and Event Division who have delivered excellence in professional conference organisation (PCO) services for over 15 years.
“We’re proud of our proven health and association sector knowledge and meetings management expertise which has helped us to deliver over 200 successful conference events in Australia and internationally. A major point-of-difference that sets us apart from other PCOs, is our flexibility, transparency and our unique understanding of the research, science and health sectors. Our highly-skilled team is truly dedicated and passionate to foster education within and for the sector,” says Nadine Giatras, Director of ASHM Conference Division.
Our ASHM in-house sector events present an important networking opportunity to collaboratively address key and emerging issues, and to share multidisciplinary knowledge that address HIV, hepatitis and sexual health responses specifically in our Australasian region, and further afield.
“There are many significant benefits of bringing together delegates of multi disciplines – community, clinicians, researchers and policy-makers – including, leading local and international experts. These conference programs help to address and disseminate the latest evidence-based science and research, as well as, to present clinical and community sector initiatives and innovation – often having a profound impact on policy-making and improving best-practice.”
A high percentage of 2017 delegates that attended ASHM in-house conferences responded very favorably regarding the benefits of their conference experiences.
- 93.8% of delegates passed on information learnt at conference to colleagues and peers
- 83.7% of delegates changed their work practice methods based on what they learnt
- 62.5% of delegates reported that their conference attendance resulted in new collaborations, work opportunities or strategic relationships
Our ASHM in-house conferences are also dedicated to initiatives that promote meaningful and greater engagement for people living or affected by HIV, viral hepatitis and other priority groups and communities. Meaningful community engagement has translated into initiatives including community members contributing as committee members on conference programming; to subsidies in registration fees which aim to encourage community to attend conferences.
As the Conference team looks forward to our 2019 conferences and beyond, we welcome hearing from our delegates about key topics and ideas for our future conferences.
