The program provides initial training, ongoing support and continuing professional development (CPD) activities for general practitioners prescribing Highly Specialised Drugs for the treatment of HIV in all states and territories across Australia. From 1 July 2015, HIV medication has been available for dispensing in community pharmacies. Expressions of interest and general enquiries can be directed to HIVprescriber@ashm.org.au​.
