ASHM Strategic Plan
This page includes information about ASHM's Strategic Plan.
The ASHM Committee has adopted a strategic plan for the 3-year period 2008-2011, following exposure of a draft on this website. The strategic plan identifies four key areas where the Society wants to achieve results over that time-frame.
- information
- education and training
- policy development and advocacy
- governance and management of the Society
The plan indicates how the Society has evolved, and continues to evolve, as the nature of the HIV and HCV epidemics, their treatment, and public health interventions, have changed in Australia and New Zealand.
The plan reaffirms the Society's core role in HIV treatment and management in Australia and New Zealand, and its contribution to treatment and management of viral hepatitis in Australia and New Zealand. It also envisages a continued, supportive role in combating HIV in developing countries in the region.
We have posted the strategic plan on this website. The National Committee is interested in comments on this document from members and stakeholders. Email any comments to Levinia Crooks, CEO.
