Community pharmacists are among the most accessible health professionals in Australia. Healthcare consumers can receive professional health-care advice and services from a pharmacist, via a network of over 5,300 community pharmacies in urban, rural and remote centres around Australia.

Community pharmacists are in a key position to raise awareness, provide education, assist people during treatment through side effects management, and decrease social discrimination associated with hepatitis C.

This updated booklet provides pharmacists with information on HCV infection, treatment and pharmacology and dispensing arrangements.
