Untitled document

ASHM is seeking your support and involvement in populating the national Viral Hepatitis Models of Care database. This online resource is available on the ASHM website at http://www.ashm.org.au/hepatitis-models-of-care. It has been based on the successful ASHM HIV Models of Care database.

Whilst primarily targeting health care providers working in the area of viral hepatitis, the Viral Hepatitis Models of Care database is intended as a resource for all people with an interest in viral hepatitis including policy makers, educators, program managers and community sector workers.

ASHM is currently is asking members to consider potential content for inclusion on the database. Submissions should be submitted to ASHM via the online submission page available at http://www.ashm.org.au/resources/hepatitis-moc. ASHM will review received submissions and load them onto the electronic database under the appropriate category.  The content falls into the following categories:

  • Prevention
  • Educational programs
  • Resources for consumers and professionals (publications and electronic material/links etc)
  • Strategies and related policy (including action plans, reviews, evaluations etc)
  • Clinical management and guidelines
  • Epidemiology/surveillance and
  • Research projects and findings

The success of this repository relies heavily on contributions from those working in the sector and living with viral hepatitis. In addition to providing a national listing of material, this database should assist in minimising the duplication of resources and work in the sector. Please consider programs you could contribute that may be of interest or benefit to others.

Whilst the focus of the database remains on Hepatitis C and Hepatitis B, material pertaining to viral hepatitis in general are welcome. ASHM does however, reserve the right not to load content deemed inappropriate.

If you would like to submit a resource that is not on-line, ASHM will require an electronic version to load onto the database. If you have any questions or difficulties please don’t hesitate to contact Stephanie McLean at ashm@ashm.org.au
