PhD Scholarship at NCHSR
Post date: 02 May 2008
Based in the UNSW Hepatitis C Vaccine Project
The National Centre in HIV Social Research (NCHSR) is offering the opportunity to undertake a PhD program at the University of NSW supported by a three year scholarship. The PhD project is based in the University of NSW Hepatitis C Vaccine Project, a multidisciplinary project covering a number of areas of interest to students with a social science background.
The project relates to the future development of vaccines (and vaccine trials) for hepatitis C, targeted at people who inject drugs. It is expected that the project will use primarily qualitative research (interviews of focus group discussions) with people who inject drugs. There will be
opportunity for innovative methods to be developed or used and to explore opportunities for the student's own interests to be pursued within the course of the project.
