Following the establishment of an arrangement with ASHHNA - Australasian Sexual Health & HIV Nurses Association Inc., individual employees/members of ASHHNA - Australasian Sexual Health & HIV Nurses Association Inc. are now entitled to become Affiliates of ASHM. Should you wish to suggest any initiatives for further engagement between ASHM and ASHHNA - Australasian Sexual Health & HIV Nurses Association Inc. please contact your organisational representative, Ms Donna Tilley, or ASHM directly.

Affiliate Entitlements

Affiliates are entitled to receive many of the ASHM Membership benefits free of charge in accordance with the ASHM Constitution as described below:

(a) Employees and members of a body corporate Sustaining Member are invited to become Affiliates of ASHM
(b) Affiliates are not Members of ASHM
(c) Subject to clause 6.6(d) in the Constitution, the Board will determine, from time to time and in its absolute discretion, the benefits Affiliates are entitled to receive.
(d) Affiliates are not entitled to:

(i) vote at general meetings;
(ii) stand for or hold office; or
(iii) represent ASHM in any way.

You are entitled to remain an Affiliate of ASHM until you cease to be associated with the ASHHNA - Australasian Sexual Health & HIV Nurses Association Inc.. Please apply above and complete the details to start receiving ASHM Membership benefits.

Existing ASHM Members
Existing ASHM Members will need to resign their Ordinary/Student/Sustaining Membership in writing if they wish to become an Affiliate. This can be done by emailing membership@ashm.org.au or by sending a letter to ASHM, LMB 5057, Darlinghurst, NSW 1300 addressed to the Membership Officer.

Please note, in resigning your ASHM Membership and becoming an Affiliate, you will no longer be entitled to:

(i) vote at general meetings;
(ii) stand for or hold office; or
(iii) represent ASHM in any way.

All other Membership benefits will remain the same.
