RISING TO THE CHALLENGE
NSPs have been operating in NSW for over 20 years. Over this time there have been many significant achievements. Now is the time to reflect on current practice with a view to the future. How do we make sure people who inject drugs receive enough equipment? How do we reach those hard to reach populations? How do our services have meaningful engagement with people who inject drugs? How do we build on the skills of the NSP workforce? How do we balance all these as well as meet the requirements of local communities and funding bodies? |

SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE
The Workers'' Meeting success has always relied upon the participator and input of Workers. This is an opportunity to showcase your projects and share ideas, skills,strategies and experiences with colleagues. The Planning Group for the 2009 Meeting, encourage you to think about contributing to the program. Under the theme "Rising to the challenge". The call for submissions form has further ideas on how you could contribute to this year''s program.

REGISTRATION
Registration has now closed for this key workforce development activity aimed at all NSP workers across NSW. Registration is FREE but compulsory. (For program planning and catering purposes).

NSP WORKERS' MEETING DINNER
The dinner will be held at the Technology Park Hotel, 1 Wyndham Street, Alexandria. It is a two minute walk from the Australian Technology Park where the meeting is to be held. We have exclusive use of the entire hotel. The evening will begin at 5.00pm with drinks and canapés and will be followed by a buffet dinner. |

TRAVEL AND FUNDING Funding is available to the attendence of staff at this year''s Statewide NSP Workers'' Meeting. Return airfares and accommodation will be covered in full - there is no registration fee for this Meeting. Funding for backfill and daily allowances is not available. WDP/ASHM will make all arrangements and advise you of finalised bookings. |
