Background
In 2003 ASHM employed a dedicated in-house Sponsorship, Conference and Events Manager to run their flagship event - the annual ASHM medical-scientific conference.
The Sponsorship, Conference and Events Team now comprises three permanent staff and manages ASHM sponsorship, marketing and promotion, national events and in-house meeting facilities, as well as the annual ASHM Conference and the biennial Viral Hepatitis Conference as part of its core functions.
The Team also undertakes the management of external conferences within the sector for organisations such as The Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine, The New Zealand AIDS Foundation and the National Association of People Living with HIV/AIDS.
