Australian Commentary to the USA Department of Health and Human Services Antiretroviral Guidelines
At its February 2005 meeting the Australian Health Minister’s Advisory Committee on HIV and STI endorsed the USA Department of Health and Human Services Guidelines for the Use of Antiretroviral Agents in HIV-1 Infected Adults and Adolescents and requested that the Australian Australian ARV Guidelines Panel develop and regularly update a detailed commentary on those Guidelines relevant to Australia.
The Antiretroviral Guidelines Panel holds an annual Consensus Conference to assist it in this process. The Consensus Conference debates substantive issues in regimen selection and treatment strategies.
