The ASHM Conference, Sponsorship and Events Division was established to support and strengthen the medical, scientific and health sectors via the delivery of professional, memorable and successful conferences and events.
The Division's philosophy is to build, service, and support relationships with organisations with similar objectives, such as improved health care and health education. The ASHM Conference, Sponsorship and Events Division won the award for the Best In-house Meetings Management department nationally in 2013 and also 2014 with the Meetings & Events Australia Association.
ASHM has its own accredited, in-house Conference, Sponsorship and Events Division with permanent staff so that ASHM is able to offer the high level of service required to manage any conference or event. It has a proven track record and has the depth of knowledge and experience to co-ordinate the requirements of a large conference and scholarship program whilst being flexible in catering to a broad range of delegates.
ASHM Conference, Sponsorship and Events Division can manage all the administrative, organisational and logistical activities to run your conference to the highest standard. We will also provide advice and consultancy to ensure short and long-term conference goals are achieved. At all times, your conference and organisation identity is maintained.

The ASHM Conference, Sponsorship and Events Division has successfully managed over 80 national and international events over the past 10 years. The Division was both Host and involved in the some of the organisation of the 2007 IAS Conference in Sydney, which attracted over 6,000 delegates. We were also the PCO for the Pan-Pacific Regional HIV/AIDS Conference in 2005 in Auckland, New Zealand (550 pax), the 2011 International Microbicides Conference, Sydney (700 pax) and the International Union against Sexually Transmitted Infections Congress in Melbourne (1500 pax).
Smaller Events and Meetings
The Division has experience in working on small events for less than 50 people and larger events with over 6,000 delegates. The annual ASHM conference, the Australasian HIV/AIDS conference, attracts over 1,200 delegates from Australia, New Zealand and Asian & Pacific regions. We have organised conferences in New Zealand and all Australian States and Territories.
The Conference, Sponsorship and Events Division has experience in managing considerable, competitive as well as directed conference scholarship programs. We have managed large programs for the AIDS 2014 domestic scholarship program and international 2012 Microbicides Conference. We also manage the ASHM Scholarship Program
