Understand which patients to opportunistically test for HIV and STIs, confidently initiate conversations about sexual health, identify and interpret diagnostic tests for Hepatitis B and C, understand the phases of disease, and learn how to manage patients according to best practice guidelines.

This course will give primary care practitioners in the Mackay region the knowledge with which to screen at-risk patients, accurately diagnose infection, assess phases of disease, treat and monitor patients, appropriately refer to specialist care, and improve health outcomes for those living in the region.

GPs, Nurses, Allied health workers, Aboriginal Health Workers

Conditions of registration:

Registration Cancellations:

Registration cancellations and amendments must be notified in writing to ASHM. Cancellations received before 17 May 2017 will not incur a cancellation fee. Cancellations received in writing after 17 May 2017 will incur a $70 per day cancellation fee. This fee may be waived in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of ASHM.

Substitutions:

As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person without incurring any penalty. ASHM must be advised of the transfer in writing. Please email the name, position, phone and email address of the new delegate to education@ashm.org.au.
